Mindfulness-based stress reduction practices are rooted in the Vipassana tradition of Theravada Buddhism. These mindfulness practices, however, work with the human psyche in ways that are universal across religious traditions. Indeed, what if the roots of mindfulness practices have been present in Christianity all along? Come join us for an experiential exploration of mindfulness practices in the context of Christianity.
When: Sundays, November 9, 16, and 23 from 11:30am – 12:30 pm.
Where: Seventh Avenue Presbyterian Church, 1329 Seventh Avenue (between Irving and Judah)
Cost: No cost. You are welcome to attend the worship service at 10 am and/or the Social Hour at 11 am before class.
